About Anne

Anne is Vice President of the non-profit Preventive Medicine Research Institute where she directs all activities related to stress management training & education for health professionals.

Anne developed the online resources at WebMD for Dean Ornish, MD’s landmark program of comprehensive changes in diet and lifestyle from 1998-2005. These resources included online support groups, feature articles and guided meditation training tools.

She is a certified practitioner of the Integrative Medicine Education Program through California Pacific Medical Center's clinical training program.

She has also received professional training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in Mind-Body Medicine with Jon Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Stress Reduction Clinic.

She completed The Academy for Guided Imagery's two-year certification program.

Anne passionately embarked on the path of yoga in 1993. Her years as an avid yoga practitioner and instructor have trained her in the various stress management techniques integral to Dr. Ornish's program, such as therapeutic stretching, meditation, guided imagery and breath awareness.

At heart, Anne is a guide who is devoted to assisting individuals in the re-discovery of and re-alignment with their natural state of wellbeing: love, inner peace & wisdom.

Her purpose for teaching yoga as stress management is to heighten
overall awareness in ways that can transform how one relates and
responds to stress into more skillful, sustainable & joyous ways of
being.

Anne was featured on the cover of Yoga Journal magazine’s July/August 2006 issue.

Her multimedia series of guided meditation tools are featured inside Dean Ornish, MD's new book, "The Spectrum: A Scientifically Proven Program to Feel Better, Live Longer, Lose Weight and Gain Health".
